Big feelings, messy days, and a safe space
to work through them together.

About us.

Nurtured Minds was born from a deep understanding that while parenting is one of life’s most beautiful experiences, it can also be profoundly messy. Our practice is a safe, intentional space where growing minds are gently held and parents are truly seen and heard. We move beyond "fluffy" advice, offering a hopeful plan grounded in evidence-based therapy, deep understanding and kindness.

Whether we are meeting in Jacquie’s space inside The Still Space in Engadine, at the Surry Hills clinic, or connecting via Tele-health, our mission remains the same: to provide a soft place for big feelings to land.

We are dedicated to holding space for your child and a hand for you, helping your family navigate the "everything in between" to find a sense of calm and those unmistakable moments of magic.

Meet Jacquie.

Jacquie is a registered psychologist with a deep passion for supporting children, adolescents and their families. She also loves working with pre- and postpartum mothers, who so often hold the emotional centre of their families while navigating their own inner world. Jacquie is committed to a trauma-informed, neurodivergence-affirming approach, creating a safe and supportive space where all clients feel seen, understood, and valued.

Jacquie's work is grounded in developmental psychology, attachment theory, and relational neuroscience, drawing inspiration from experts such as Dr. Ross Greene (Collaborative & Proactive Solutions) and Dr. Mona Delahooke (Polyvagal and neurobiological approaches to behaviour). She is currently engaged in a year-long professional development program with Robyn Gobbel, exploring ways to support children with 'big, baffling behaviours' through a relational neuroscience lens.

Jacquie supports clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, Autism, emotional dysregulation, depression, and challenging behaviours. Her approached is neuro-affirming, and relationship-centred approach, through which she works to develop personalised strategies that nurture co-regulation, resilience, and connection. As a Circle of Security International Parenting facilitator, she integrates attachment-based approaches to strengthen parent-child relationships and create emotional safety.

Outside of the therapy room Jacquie can be found chasing her three young children at the beach, daydreaming about buying a hobby farm, or escaping to yoga class for a dose of peace amongst the happy chaos.
